"Eisai Vietnam is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eisai Co., Ltd. – a leading global research and development-based pharmaceutical company headquartered in Japan. Founded in 1941, Eisai Group currently has over 40 subsidiaries and more than 10,000 employees worldwide.

Eisai's corporate concept is to give first thought to patients and the people in the daily living domain, and increase the benefits that healthcare provides to them as well as meet their diversified healthcare needs worldwide.

Eisai calls this the human health care concept. As part of this, Eisai is working to enhance its corporate value in a sustainable way by strengthening various initiatives in areas such as environmental, social, and governance standards.

Eisai started business in Vietnam through a local agency in the 1990s. The company opened a representative office in Ho Chi Minh City which mainly markets the proton-pump inhibitor, the muscle relaxant, and the peripheral neuropathy treatment.

In addition, regarding its global products in Vietnam, Eisai recently launched its antiepileptic drug in October 2019, and obtained marketing approval for the anti-cancer agent in June 2020 and in December last year."
